Later in the Summer we are expecting to greet the arrival of Apple’s newest flagship smartphone which is rumoured to be the iPhone 5S. There has been no official confirmation on this model as yet but reports have suggested that a production run on the device has already started. Over the past few days we have seen images hit the web which reportedly show the display panel which will feature on the device.
Apple traditionally launch their next generation devices at some point during the third quarter of the year and as we move closer to this period it is no surprise that we are hearing more news relating to the iPhone 5S. The latest story to break about this model comes courtesy of Mac Rumours who have published photographs of the Retina Display panel that is set to feature on the handset. It is difficult to know if this screen will offer any big changes to the device from these new snaps but they do suggest that consumers hoping for a larger display panel than what was included on the iPhone 5 will be disappointed. The emergence of the images does support recent news however that production on the handset is finally underway. Speaking about the new pictures Mac Rumours commented “While the low-resolution images do not immediately reveal any significant changes to the technology behind the device’s display, there is one item of interest supporting the claim that the logic board photos from earlier today are genuine”.
The iPhone 5S is set to be an incremental update from the iPhone which suggests that although there will be no changes with regards to design and size a number of internal components on the phone will be updated and a host of new features will also be included. At this moment in time it is difficult to say if the new Retina Display that has appeared in images is indeed any different than the panel found on the iPhone 5. Once the snaps have been studied by experts we may get a better idea about any changes that are present. Many consumers had been hoping that Apple would opt to include a bigger display on this new model. A series of Android handsets have arrived with screens around the 5 inch level and although Apple are said to be working on similarly sized display these are unlike to be released prior to 2014 with the iPhone 6 the most likely handset to feature them.
The iPhone 5S is expected at some point during the third quarter of the year and production of the handset has already begun. The new screen image to appear suggests that a 4 inch screen will once again feature but we will be sure to keep you updated with any more news on this device as it emerges.
