GSM Arena has recently reported that in order to compete with the competition, the next instalment of the iPhone series is likely to double the amount of pixels seen on the iPhone 5. Obviously, previously released iPhones have seen increases to their pixel counts over previous models, but this has often meant that applications did not function as intended, due to not being optimised for operating in such high resolutions. Hopefully, this will not be a problem with the next iPhone model, as the website also reports that a new version of iOS is likely to be launched alongside the release of the phone, which should mean that the majority of applications will be able to operate at higher resolutions.
