It is no secret that Apple are keen to to begin production of their new iPhone 5S soon in an effort to avoid the supply delays which have plagued the releases of previous versions of the handset. It looks as though this process may well be underway already as new reports suggest that production of the display panels that will be used on the phone has already begun.iphone 5s

These fresh reports come courtesy of Nikkan Kogyo Shumbun who have reported that production of the new display panels for the iPhone 5S has begun. The company armed with producing these displays is Japan Display, a company who comprise of production arms of Sony, Toshiba and Hitachi. It looks as though LG will be joining the production of the screen very soon. It is reported that they are also helping in production to ensure that enough volume can be generated ahead of the phones launch. A third manufacturer are also set to join in the shape of Sharp. The company are said to be preparing Kameyama production plant to begin work in June. They have the potential to produce up to 600 million units in just one month.

It is widely expected that the new iPhone 5S will be unveiled later in the Summer. It had earlier been predicted that the device would arrive much earlier but recent comments from APple CEO Tim Cook suggest that a more traditional third quarter launch is more likely. Although most experts expect the handset to arrive under the name of the iPhone 5S some recent reports do suggest that Apple may skip this name altogether and introduce the handset as the iPhone 6. The model is not likely to include an increased screen size despite numerous rumours. The 2014 iPhone however is rumoured to include a larger screen. Other features set to be included on this years handset are the brand new iOS7 operating system, enhanced camera facilities and a new processing chip.

The production process for the new iPhone 5S, or the iPhone 6, looks to have already begun. This gives Apple plenty of time to produce enough handsets to ensure that there are no shortages when the device does eventually go on sale later this year.
