We have heard all manner of various reports about the new iPhone 5S and when we can expect to see this new handset go on sale. It has been well documented that Apple have experienced some production issues with the phone which is why the expected dates have varied so greatly. One new product that does look like being on schedule however is the new iOS7 platform which is expected to debut alongside the 5S later this year. iphone 5s

The iOS platform is used by a wide variety of Apple devices including iPads, iPhones and the iPod. For this reason the platform is one of the most popular in the world and consumers are looking forward to the arrival of iOS7, the next generation of this software. The new platform is set to arrive along with the iPhone 5S in September this year and according to latest reports development is on schedule. This news has come courtesy of the AllThingsD website who state that several inside sources have confirmed that iOS7 is progressing well. This news has also been supported by renowned Apple watcher Jim Dalrymple. His personal blog is packed full of information on Apple products and he also states that iOS7 will arrive on time without any delays. The first glimpse we should get of this new software will be in June when it is unveiled at Apple’s annual WWDC event.

The new iOS7 platform is expected to introduce some major changes and this is a key reason why the software is being so eagerly anticipated. As early reports had suggested the man in charge of delivering the package is designer Sir Jony Ive and he is keen to make iOS a flatter platform than ever before, meaning all aspects of the software look and work in the same manner. This could mean we will see some big changes to elements such as Notes and the Games Centre which currently boast their own unique design. In an effort to ensure iOS7 arrives in time for the launch of the iPhone 5S Apple have pulled a number of developers from its OS X 10.9 platform to work on the software, a move they also made back in 2007 when the original iOS platform was being developed.

It looks as though iOS7 is progressing nicely and the software package will arrive alongside the iPhone 5S later on in the summer this year. The iPhone 6 is also set to arrive at some point during 2014.
